Achievements:-

2012- Both U14 boys and girls were the National Champions 2018 – U20 girls came second in NASH championships after Girls High. U20 boys came sixth out of ten schools. The U17 teams go through selections for the National Team every year and we currently have two students in the national team who are: Rutendo Mugodzeri and Manoah Ntini The two travelled to Zambia for the COSSASA Games and the team was awarded with two gold medals. We also have two other students who were already in the National Team who are: Tinotenda Nyanhete form 3 and Rumbidzai Gumunyu form 3

Wishes:

The basketball teams wishes for more exposure that can be brought about by tours. They also wish for sponsorship for their teams which will enable them to practise and take part in competitions effectively.

2018 – The U15 boys were ¼ finalists 2018 – The U17 boys were District Champions 2012 – The girls were Provincial Champions Rivals:- Girls- Visitation and Macheke Boys- At provincial level their biggest rival is Chemanza and at district level its Acturus.

Wishes:

The soccer teams wish there could be a scholarship programme linked with the sport and for general sponsorship. The soccer teams participate in NASH competitions starting at zonal level moving on to district level and then national level. The teams which participate in NASH are the U16 sponsored by Coca Cola, the U17 sponsored by M&H and the U20 who are have various sponsors.

Achievements:-

2013- U16 boys were given the award for the most improved team 2018- U20 and U16 boys won all matches 2018- The girls lost all their matches as this is a fairly new team (3 years old) Goromonzi is the only school whose girls team plays in the Super ten League for Mash east. They are ranked 3rd out of the ten schools. They are also the only school with girls teams for the following age groups, U15, U16, U20. Eight of the girls are being sought after by the national team. The girls doing very well in the Girls League being run by the Zimbabwe Rugby Union(ZRU). Their biggest rivals are Vainona and Girls High. The U16 boys have not lost a match since 2012 in both the Dairibord and Super League. They won two cups this season, one at the Goromonzi Invitational Festival and the other at the Eaglesvale 7 aside.

Wishes:

The teams do not have adequate equipment eg Scrum Machine, Kits, Tackle bags, Shields and Boots. Any donation will be sincerely appreciated.

Achievements:-

Mudzinganyama (form 1) attended an International Tournament in Zambia and came 3rd. National Team Representatives train once every fortnight at Prince Edward School from 11am until 2pm. Currently we have 5 pupils in the National Team.
This elite sport was introduced to the school by the Sports Director in 2011. Goromonzi has become a table tennis powerhouse over the years. Some of the schools the teams compete against are Peterhouse, Gateway, Watershed and Arundel. They participate in Schools Leaugues and various other tournaments held in Harare and Mash East. These tournaments are run by the Zimbabwe Table Tennis Union (ZTTU).

2011- Christine Manyanya made it into the National Team and is still serving. 2012- The school had a very strong U20 team which was beaten in Provincial Finals by Marondera High. 2013- U20 boys lost the semi finals in the provincials. They were beaten by marondera high. 2013- U17 boys were District finalists and lost in the finals. Wishes: All weather courts

Achievements:-

Chaminuka has proven to be the most competitive having won most sports days over the years. 2018- Winner for Interhouse track and field was Chaminuka 2013- The winner was Soko 2018- Winner for Interhouse Cross Country was Chaminuka 2013- The Winner was Mhofu Selection of the School Teams The School Cross Country Team has not been performing well. They are failing to go past the zonal level. The Track and Field Team on the other hand is doing very well in Zonal Interschools Competitions where 8 schools take part. 2012- The team came 1st 2013- The team came 3rd 2018- The team came 3rd Individuals selected for District Competitions: 2013- 7 Pupils made it all the way to nationals 2018- We have 5 pupils in the national team with NASH medals Outstanding Athletes 2011/2012- Rudado Maisiri was the schools best sprinter and also known for outstanding performance in other track and field events. 2018- Miriro Mudiwa (U6) is the outstanding 100m sprinter and Denzel Kurima (L6) is the outstanding 200m and 400m runner. The school team has a very strong relay team which is feared by many of their rivals. The athletics department would like to extend their most profound gratitude to Mr Chimbare for sponsoring the teams and would also like to encourage other parents to do the same.
